Patch is designed as an open platform where you can comment on issues, notify others of your events and even post your own pieces on all kinds of topics.

We've built a robust community of users over the years, and as the 2020 general elections approach, we expect even more people will take the time to get their points of view across on issues.

What isn't good? Personal attacks and posts in poor taste.

We want Patch to be a place where people feel free to express their opinions without being subjected to questions about their intelligence, their motivations and — it's happened — their personal appearance.

For the most part, the comments posted here are legitimate opinions and, in the best contributions, statements of fact. Every once in a while, though, we see things get nasty. We don't want that.
