'The Daily Show' On The 'Many Sides' Of Trump's Phoenix Rally

Trump conveniently left out the most criticized part of his Charlottesville reaction when revisiting his remarks in Phoenix.

"The Daily Show" host Trevor Noah, noting that President Trump "popped into Arizona to work on his tan and campaign for the election he just won," took apart Trump's campaign rally in Phoenix piece by piece during Wednesday night's show.

After getting a laugh from the audience after showing a clip of Trump declaring, "I don't do Twitter storms" and pointing out that by saying "obstructionist Democrats would not like us not to do it, but believe me, if we have to close down our government, we're building that wall" he had "changed the lyrics" to his campaign refrain that Mexico would in fact build the wall, Noah zeroed in on the president's continued bumbling of the Charlottesville situation.

In his latest speech, Trump demanded justice for "the real victim of Charlottesville: himself," said Noah. He then showed footage of Trump re-reading and admiring his previous Charlottesville remarks, leaving out his statement that people "on many sides, many sides" were to blame for the violence, the very phrase that got him in so much hot water in the first place. How important is context?

"Like in 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.' If you remove the chocolate factory, Willie Wonka is just a pedophile," joked Noah.
