Letterman To Welcome Obama As First Guest On New Show

The former TV host came out of retirement to host "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman," which will play on Netflix.

NEW YORK, NY — Former President Barack Obama will be David Letterman’s first guest on a new talk show that will play on Netflix later this month, the company announced Friday.

Obama will join the former late night host on Jan. 12 for the launch of "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman."

The show will have six episodes, which will run for 60 minutes each. It’s the first time the long-time comedy icon will return as a talk show host since he retired from “The Late Show with David Letterman” in 2015. It will also be Obama's first talk show interview since he left office last January.
