Trump Has No Plans To Meet With Jacob Blake's Family: McEnany

Kayleigh McEnany said the president does not have plans to meet with Jacob Blake's family while in Kenosha.

WASHINGTON, DC — White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said Monday President Donald Trump has "no current plans" to meet with the family of Jacob Blake while he is in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Tuesday.

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers is among the elected officials who have urged Trump not to show up in Kenosha amid the unrest that's resulted from the police-involved shooting of Blake.

The press secretary told reporters Trump has plans to meet with local law enforcement officers, business owners and "survey the damage" that has come from the rioting that's occurred the past week in the southeastern Wisconsin city.

"The president will show up," McEnany said. "He will go to American cities that are hurting."

McEnany also said Trump was not likely to address the double shooting in Wisconsin in which 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse of Antioch, Illinois has been charged, but did say the president "condemns violence in all its forms."
