Alex Acosta To Resign As Labor Secretary

R. Alexander Acosta, under fire over a lenient plea deal he made with Jeffrey Epstein while a prosecutor in Florida, will resign from his post as U.S. Labor Secretary, President Trump announced Friday.

Acosta has undergone intense scrutiny for his role as a U.S. attorney a decade ago, when he allowed Epstein to plead guilty to lesser offenses in a sex-trafficking case.
