WASHINGTON, DC — The divided House Judiciary Committee passed two articles of impeachment Friday against President Donald Trump, voting along party lines to approve charges that he abused the power of his office and obstructed Congress in a quest to rig the 2020 election.

In back-to-back morning votes, they adopted each charge against Trump by a margin of 23 to 17 over rancorous Republican protest.
