Seth Meyers' A Closer Look: Trump Stuns Republicans, Backpedals On Wall Promise
The late-night host offered commentary on DACA, the border wall and health care.

Comedian Seth Meyers spoke about President Trump's deals with Democrats, questions about his loyalty to the Republican party and competing health plans during "A Closer Look" Thursday night, the recurring news commentary segment on "Late Night with Seth Meyers."
Meyers noted that Republicans were "stunned" when Trump struck a deal with Democrat legislative leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to avoid a government shutdown. Meyers also talked about how Trump worked out a deal on DACA without securing funding for his proposed border wall.
"He might be the worst negotiator since Daffy Duck," the host said, before showing the famous Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck "duck season, rabbit season" clip. (For more national political news, sign up for the free White House Patch email newsletter.)
