Should Trump Let Obamacare Fail? Question Of The Week
After President Trump failed to repeal and replace Obamacare, he pushed for repeal only, sans the replace. It looks he's failed again.

President Trump, burned and burned and burned again by his party's inability to reach a compromise on health care reform, now says Republicans should let Obamacare die a natural death, which he promises will send Democrats running to join him in repeal efforts.
At least two things are not likely here: First, if Obamacare is left alone and funded at its current levels, independent analysts doubt it will fail; and, second, the last real arrow in the GOP quiver it could use to try to end Obamacare is something called "reinsurance," basically a subsidy for insurance companies giving coverage to high-cost policy holders. And if that arrow were used, its effects would be confined largely to rural areas — aka, "Trump Country."
Even with the GOP controlling Congress and the White House, the party and its president find themselves with no way to win this round of the health care battle without passively or aggressively killing Obamacare.
