Someone Wants Barack Obama To Run For President...In France

The online petition calling for the former U.S. president to run for office overseas had more than 27,000 signatures as of Thursday evening.

It seems that some voters — thousands of them, really — want former President Barack Obama to have a third term.

Except this time, as president of France.

A petition calling for Obama to step forward as a candidate in the French presidential election has blown up online with nearly 27,000 signatures in less than a week.

The group behind the petition says its goal is to get a million signatures. "Barack Obama has completed his second term as President of the United States," the site says. "Why not hire him as president of France?"
