WASHINGTON, DC — Properties owned by the Trump Organization and Kushner Companies, the real estate group of the family of President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, profited from the Paycheck Protection Program aimed to help small businesses that have been hurt financially by the coronavirus pandemic.

More than 25 PPP loans worth more than $3.65 million were given to businesses with addresses at Trump and Kushner real estate properties, an NBC News analysis of data released Tuesday by the Small Business Administration shows.

Included in the loans to Trump and Kushner properties included one for more than $2 million for the Triomphe Restaurant Corp. at the Trump International Hotel & Tower in New York City, according to NBC News. But the money didn’t go to keeping any jobs at the company, which later closed.
