Coronavirus: UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson In Intensive Care

The prime minister was admitted to the hospital Sunday after testing positive for COVID-19, and his condition worsened Monday.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson was moved to intensive care in a hospital Monday after his coronavirus symptoms "worsened," Downing Street has said.

A spokesman said Johnson was moved on the advice of his medical team and is receiving "excellent care," The British Broadcasting Corporation reported.

Johnson has asked Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab to deputize "where necessary," the spokesman added.
