WASHINGTON, DC — President Trump addressed the press pool at 4 p.m. Eastern Tuesday, after canceling the White House's previous scheduled briefing with Sarah Sanders.
The change to the schedule was made after it was announced that North Korea launched a ballistic missile Tuesday afternoon, its first such launch in months. The speech will be delivered from the White House Roosevelt Room.
Just before the speech, the Senate GOP tax bill passed out of committee, pushing it one step closer to becoming law.

Trump remarked Democratic leaders Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Chuck Schumer were "weak" on crime, illegal immigration and the military. Previously in the day, he tweeted that he didn't expect to agree with them on anything, in response to which the Democratic leadership decided to boycott the meeting. Trump said they didn't want to come because they want to raise taxes.
"The only thing they like to do is raise taxes," Trump said.
