Replay: Sarah Sanders Delivers White House Press Briefing
The White House press secretary did not say whether President Trump will benefit from the Republican tax bill.
WASHINGTON, DC — White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders brushed off questions Tuesday about whether President Trump will personally benefit from the tax bill that pass the House of Representatives earlier in the afternoon. During the presidential campaign, Trump promised that his tax plan would hurt wealthy people, including himself, but analysts say that the bill will largely benefit the richest Americans.
Sanders told reporters at the press briefing that president was mostly concerned about passing a tax cut for American families.
