Replay: Trump Tells FBI Academy Graduates, 'I Will Fight For You'

President Trump spoke at the FBI Academy graduation Friday morning. Watch a replay of the speech here.

QUANTICO, VA — President Trump told graduates of the FBI Academy that he will fight for them at a graduation ceremony on Friday. Before leaving to make the speech, he had said it's a "shame" what was happening to the agency.

"But we're going to rebuild the FBI," he told reporters Friday morning. "It will be bigger and better than ever."

Trump has recently taken to criticizing the FBI, saying on Twitter that it's reputation has been damaged and that it is "in tatters." Many of the president's allies have expressed frustration with the agency as the investigation into Russian interference in the election and possible collusion with the Trump team has ramped up, leading to two guilty pleas and two indictments.

At the graduation, he took the stance of a law enforcement defender.

"Anti-police sentiment is wrong," he said. "And it's dangerous. And we will not stand for it."

He added: "The president of the United States has your back 100 percent."

He also called for the death penalty for those who kill police officers.

Trump appeared on stage with Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and FBI Director Chris Wray sat in the front row of the audience.
