WASHINGTON, DC — White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will hold a press briefing for reporters as Republicans rush to pass their tax overhaul bill before the end of the year. The briefing is scheduled to begin at 1:45 p.m. Eastern. You can watch a live stream of the briefing on Patch.

Since the election of Alabama's Doug Jones to the U.S. Senate on Tuesday, the GOP is under a time crunch to pass the bill. Losing one Senate vote could doom the bill's chances of success. Sanders will likely discuss the party's plan to push for a second round of votes on the legislation, which could take place as soon as next week.

Sanders may also face questions about Omarosa Manigault, who left the White House Wednesday. There were conflicting reports about how amicable her departure from the administration was.
