Email:  adrianne.murchison@patch.com Phone: 404-353-1709 Hometown:  Buffalo, NY Birthday:  April 29 Bio: Although I grew up hooked on writing, news and information, journalism is actually my second career.  I spent more than 10 years working as a registered sales assistant for a Wall Street firm. I left that business to promote a non-fiction book I wrote on relationships, and later became a feature and news reporter. My time in newspapers can be compared to a period I spent as a volunteer with the Innocence Project in New York City. Both experiences required gathering information, which anchored and taught me to be objective so I could complete my task and connect with people. That is my honored duty, as editor, to the residents of Sandy Springs – to be your most objective and fair source of news and information. At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. I am inclusive and my interests tend to lean towards those that benefit everyone. Having said that, I am always interested in and welcome a perspective that is different from my own.
