Amara Pinnock, Neighbor

Amara Pinnock is a dually-licensed Special Educator in the Washington, D.C. area and an Education Pioneers Alumna. Amara become an Education Pioneer in order to learn how to successfully utilize human capital to directly support the academic advancement of Washington D.C.’s most underserved students. Amara utilized her firsthand knowledge of the urban classroom to design recruitment strategies in order to attract, admit and cultivate high-quality candidates into a teacher-training-and-certification program in order to accelerate the academic achievement of the students. Currently Amara is working on a Certificate in Administration and Supervision through Loyola University.
