A nonprofit located on the Redondo Beach Pier for more than 30 years, Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach (CSCRB) is an independent affiliate of the international Cancer Support Community network with headquarters in Washington, DC. CSCRB provides over 200 programs per month of emotional support, education and hope for people with cancer and their families completely free of charge. Services include weekly support groups, drop-in networking groups, Kids Community and Teens Connect programs, physician’s lectures, stress reduction and mind-body activities, educational lectures and workshops on nutrition and treatment. Offering what is considered to be the gold standard of psychosocial support, all programs at CSCRB are derived from evidence-based psychosocial oncology and mind-body research.
