South Metro Development Outlook (SMDO) is an annual conference that serves as a platform to convene industry experts, corporate executives, government leaders and elected officials interested in fostering smart growth in Atlanta’s southern crescent. It features Clayton, Coweta, Douglas, Fayette, Henry, South Fulton and Spalding counties, and the city of Atlanta.

SMDO was found by Michael Hightower, Managing Partner of The Collaborative Firm, LLC and former commissioner of Fulton County.
