Born and raised on Long Island, David V. Mammina has been known as a local author since publishing his first book, The Angels of Resistance, in 2005. Before then, he grew up in North Lindenhurst as a young boy having written various free writes inspired by his exposure to comic books and video games, along with his will to create better stories than the late eighties and early nineties could provide him.

After graduating college with his Masters in Special Education and a dual certification to teach social studies to students with various disabilities, Mammina had gone on to publish Protector of Children: Assassin’s Dreams, Paltronis and the Redeem the Knight Trilogy. He was awarded the Presidential Call to Service Award for his volunteer work in his community and parish.

In 2014, he married the love of his life at Our Lady of Grace Church and began working as a social studies teacher for a middle school in Woodside, Queens that summer. It is his goal to write novels and short stories containing a solid storyline, deep character development and twist and turns that can challenge any reader. He appreciates his fans for their incredible support and credits God, his wife, and family and friends for his growing success.
