A brand evangelist at heart, I cut my teeth in the PR business in the late 80s, partnering with a former BBC journalist and the former deputy press secretary to President Ford. Together, we developed and directed nationally award-winning PR and integrated marketing campaigns for some of the world's most prestigious companies and brands including U.S. Trust, Parker Pen, Rolls-Royce and Bentley Motor Cars, Timex-Motorola, Revlon, Beck's Beer, and Vermont Pure Water to name a few. I have had the good fortune to work with my clients for many years and have secured the coveted position as an extension of my client's internal PR team.

I dedicated 20 years of my career to building the PR Division of Kerr Kelly, Kerr Kelly Inc. and Earle Palmer Brown successively and successfully, through four management buyouts. I was hand-picked to launch the PR Division of a small boutique ad agency in Stamford, Connecticut. Over five years, I built the Division to $1.25MM in revenues, to one of Southern Connecticut's fastest growing mid-sized PR agencies. Subsequently, I launched Burns Communications brand and media strategy agency, now in its 7th year, focused on: Building Brands|Reputations|Bottom Lines for small to mid-sized companies in the consumer products, financial services, technology and healthcare industries. My sweet spot is working closely with company CEOs and

C-suite executives. I also founded PR Synergy Plus www.prsynergyplus.com, a PR collaborative of senior executives to meet the communications needs of larger-sized clients.

In 2012, I launched a Business Strategy Services division of Burns Communications to provide senior-level business consulting services to start-ups, and small to mid-sized businesses seeking brand re-alignment and positioning in the marketplace.

People call me enthusiastic, tenacious, and generous. I have a love for the great outdoors, photography, sports, travel, investing, music, books, new ideas, spirituality, and fully embrace the creative muse. I often travel between the shores of Fairfield County, Connecticut and the Green Mountains of Southern Vermont.
