Originally born in the Bronx, Dominic Gregoria moved to Neptune City in 1988 and immediately became a part of the Asbury Park music scene by introducing shore residents to the progressive metal sound of Underseige and the melodic rock sound of China White. At the same time, DG was appearing in productions by Jewelbox Theatre, NJ Rep, Café Theatre, Hitman Murder Mysteries, The Grange Playhouse and Playwrights Three, as well as the independent film productions of Visual Experiences and Silent Sea Productions. Discovering a love for promotion and the written word, DG eventually began writing articles under his real name, as well as the nickname "Donnie G.," for the Shoreview, the Oceanview, FRED's Papers, Night & Day, the Shore Herald and the Little Silver / Oceanport Patch. In 2004, DG introduced the Jersey Shore to his own publication, The Rag. While a member of the First United Methodist Church of Oakhurst, DG assisted with various ministries, as well as working with their Youth Group.

In 2017, DG moved to Forked River with his wife-to-be and immediately became a member of the Lacey United Methodist Church, where he publishes a newsletter, assists with Sunday School and contributes his talents to various ministries. LUMC has reinforced DG's love for the community in which he lives, as well as those nearby. DG hasn't forgotten his love for acting as could be seen by his portrayal of Binky in LUMC's production of "Three Wise Men and a Baby." In addition, he has worked with contemporary country artist Anjelia Pelay and acted as Artist Liaison for the Force MD's at a Human Rights Celebration in Newark.

As a newly appointed Patch Mayor, Dominic Gregoria looks forward to promoting events and serving the community of Lacey Township through his contributions to Patch.com.
