About the North Fork Animal Welfare League

The mission of the North Fork Animal Welfare League Inc., (The League) is humane care and treatment for all animals needing protection in our community. The tools employed in the fulfillment of our mission include sheltering services of the highest standards which provide safe, happy healthy environments until permanent ones can be found as well as comprehensive public service programs designed to nurture compassionate relationships between people and animals.

The League recognizes the One Health concept: The health of humans is connected to the health of animals and the environment.
