Jessica Strachan, Patch Staff

Patch's Detroit Editor Jessica Strachan is an award-winning journalist and Metro Detroit native who loves digital storytelling in her community. A graduate of the University of Michigan, she loves creating hyperlocal content through engaging narratives, compelling photos and interesting videos. She has written for some of Michigan's top news sites and papers, including WDIV's Click on Detroit, Mlive.com, The Flint Journal and The News-Herald. In her down time, she enjoys sampling farm-sourced vegetarian foods, sipping good coffee, traveling the world with her camera in hand and doting on her rescue beagle named Virginia Woof (yes, that's a writer pun).
