Two Charged in Oil Theft from Johnston Burger King
Johnston Police charged a Providence man with trying to steal heating oil from the local restaurant.

A native Rhode Islander, Joe grew up in Johnston and graduated from Johnston High School. Joe joined Patch in November, 2010, and launched Johnston Patch six weeks later. In September, 2012, he launched Smithfield Patch before assisting with coverage of Bristol-Warren Patch and taking on the Field Editor role in 2013.
Joe lives in Cranston. He is married to Andrea DiPonte Hutnak, whose parents live in Johnston. Joe and Andrea have one daughter, Carina Rose.

The incumbent mayor said if he succeeds in the Oct. 8 primary, he intends to continue informing voters of his recently-unveiled economic plan for Woonsocket.
The four-term state Representative said she plans to keep "working every day" in her pursuit of the mayor's office.
The Johnston native passed away on Oct. 4, 2013.
