Julie Walke, Community Contributor

Publicist Julie Walke has led WalkePR.com for twenty-two years, specializing in media and community relations, writing and photography. Walke has a business background in television production and corporate management. Her company has received numerous awards from the San Diego Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. Walke has penned four pictorial history books, The House That Women Built: The First 100 years in 2015 for the Metropolitan Club of San Francisco; A Pictorial History of the University Club of San Diego in 2012; Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership: The First Fifty years in 2010; and Imperial Beach, California: A Pictorial History in 2006. Walke has been a freelance writer for the San Diego Business Journal, the Beach & Bay Press and the Ocean Beach Beacon. Walke is a member of the San Diego Press Club. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Interior Design.
