Welcome to World Taekwondo Academy! Our dojang (school) was founded in 1969 by one of the pioneers of Taekwondo, Grandmaster Byung Yul Lee. We offer a world-class martial arts education, and are one of the most successful schools in the country. Our school has produced more champions and U.S. Team Members than any other school in the Midwest. In 2009 and 2010 we were voted the best club in the U.S.

Master Instructor

Directs Motivates, and Instructs students of all ages and abilities in martial arts and self-defense.

Identifies and obtains goals based on individual needs.

Develops group and individual programs

Develops individuals’ self esteem confidence, responsibility, respect, accountability, integrity, and pride.

Assists in student’s evaluation and advancement in ranks.

Coordinates and directs martial arts tournaments for the State.

Provided programming for after school and summer school programs to Hopkins, Wayzata, Orono, Delano, Edina and St. Louis Park Public schools.

Provides Community education through demonstrations as requested by various groups and organizations.

1983-1998 Owner Operator World TaeKwonDo Academy Hopkins-Saint Louis Park MN.

Managed all aspects of small business needs.

1998- 2006 TaeKwonDo Martial Arts Director & Grand Master Instructor for Northwest Athletic Clubs Minnesota.
