Lake Forest Garden Park, Community Contributor

The lake Forest Community Garden Park is a grass roots effort among Lake Forest California residents to create an Urban Agricultural Center as a educational, recreational and relaxing Park venue. The primary goal is to educate and inspire children, families and seniors to learn, about gardening, nutrition, sustainable growing, water conservation, and environmental stewardship. It is envisioned as a Public Park with demonstration/educational garden parcels (The Mind), individual garden parcels for families or individuals to grow their own plants (The Heart), and a Giving Garden (The Soul) to provide to others in need. The grounds would be maintained, coordinated and cared for by a group of volunteers under the management of a non-profit incorporation. This ensures that there is an organizational structure and the project remains an oasis of beauty and relaxation, while promoting a love and interest in the natural sciences.
