Growing up in Alsip in the 70's has given her a wealth of experiences and friends that she is proud to call her own. She is a part time eBayer and full time mom to her 3 teenagers who all attend Oak Forest High School. Melanie is the co-founder of Get Up And Help a 501c3 charity which strives to help the community of Oak Forest. She became the Oak Forest Patch Mayor in 2018 and is excited to be writing for the town that she is glad to call home.
