The National Touring Production of Foreigners Journey tribute to perform a benefit concert for Plymouth North & South High School Music Departments.

The Plymouth North & South High School Music Departments are hosting a joint benefit concert to raise much needed funds to support music educational equipment and supplies for their school’s music programs. The concert is scheduled for October 5 at 7:30 PM at Plymouth Memorial Hall.

This year’s concert is the 2nd annual benefit for Plymouth High School’s Music Departments. Last year’s benefit concert featured Beatlemania. The music students from both schools will perform back up instrumentation on some songs with Foreigners Journey Tribute.

Bonnie Holmes, music director at both Plymouth High Schools said “It is a great experience for our music students to learn pop music and to perform with professional musicians with big arena sound and lighting.” “Last year’s benefit show was a complete success and contributed much needed funds to our music program.” “The students enjoy learning the music of Beatlemania last year and look forward to this year’s performance and this is a unique and fun way to raise funding for our cause.”

This year’s concert will feature Frontiers Journey and is the next best thing to the real Foreigner and Journey, the band’s tribute performances have been selling out throughout the country and just recently at the Stadium Theater in Rhode Island. Paul Lococo, event organizer stated “So why fight the crowds at a big venue and pay hundreds of dollars for tickets when you can see the next best right here in Plymouth at an affordable price and plenty of free parking and all for a good cause helping support education in our schools.”

The national touring production of Foreigners Journey brings together the incredible sounds of two of rocks greatest arena bands of the 80’s – Foreigner & Journey. Experience the rock ballads Faithfully, Waiting For A Girl Like You & Open Arms, along with rock classics Cold As Ice, Urgent, Hot Blooded, Feels Like The First Time, Jukebox Hero, Separate Ways, Don’t Stop Believin’, Anyway You Want It … and so much more! All performed as the originals were, in their original key and pitch. Foreigners Journey has thrilled audiences for over 10 years performing together. A must see concert.

Tickets are on sale at Purplepass.com, The Music Box 27 Court St. in Plymouth or by calling 800-316-8559.
