The Wallace House served as General Washington's winter headquarters during the 1778-1779 Middlebrook Cantonment. The Old Dutch Parsonage housed ministers of the Dutch Reformed Church including the founder and first president of Queen's College, today Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
