Risa Hoag, Neighbor

Risa Hoag is president of GMG Public Relations, celebrating 28 years in business and serving clients in Westchester, Rockland, Bergen, and Manhattan. She served on the board of the Westchester Association of Women Business Owners for 15 years including two terms as president and also founded "Partnership for a Better Westchester." She is a past Public Relations Chairperson for the Ad Club of Westchester as well as a past Vice President of the Tappan Zee International Trade Association, a past member of the Orange & Rockland Utilities Community Investment Grant Committee. She currently serves as President of the Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce and Executive Vice President of Rockland Business Women's Network. She also sits on the Board of Meals on Wheels in Rockland and was selected to serve on the Clarkstown Business & Economic Development Advisory Committee. Prior to founding GMG Public Relations in 1991 Risa was Director of Public Relations and Marketing for the White Plains office of Ernst & Young for nearly four years. Some of her well known clients over the years include: Helmsley Hotels, Travelodge, The Tourism Board of Scotland, Sidney Kimmel Foundation, AMC and IMAX Theatres, and Morton's Steakhouse in White Plains, Stamford and Hackensack.

Having started her business in White Plains and with numerous clients in the White Plains and Westchester area, Risa has a passion for the stories that are important to White Plains residents.
