Robert Myers, Patch Staff

I love news and I love technology, so I feel very lucky to be living in an era when the two are evolving so rapidly. I sometimes wonder if there will ever be a period of stability as long-lasting as the one dominated by the triad of print, radio and TV.
What excites me about my position at Patch is that this is a company that's not only willing to try new things, but actively seeking them out. The "hyper local" approach allows us to focus on stories and people who are much more personally important to our readers than any national or even city-wide news outlet is able to. It also allows us to customize coverage neighborhood-to-neighborhood and breaks up the homogenous style of coverage that is the norm in traditional formats.
