Ron Kremer joined Patch.com in August of 2010 and has served in a number of roles with the company, most recently taking on duties as a local editor on Shorewood-IL.Patch.com, Channahon-Minooka.Patch.com and Joliet.Patch.com. Prior to joining Patch, Kremer accumulated 29 years of experience working at three different daily newspapers, spending 25 of those years covering local sports for The Joliet Herald-News. During that time, he had more than 4,000 bylines and won more awards than we can mention. He's interviewed celebs such as Tiger Woods, Pete Rose, Jack Nicklaus, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Reggie Jackson. But he's happiest when covering local news and sports, where the journalistic competition can be as intense as the rivalries between the powerhouse schools. During his time at The Herald-News, Kremer covered local preps, NASCAR, NHRA and the Western Open/BMW Championship.
