St. Francis Woods is a place of hope, healing and harmony! Nestled amid 50 peaceful, wooded acres, you will find the home of the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart, Queen of Angels Chapel, Portiuncula Center for Prayer, Poverello Holistic Center, the historic Heritage Chapel, five hermitages, an outdoor labyrinth, cosmic walk (walking meditation), Stations of the Cross on a paved path, winding wooded paths, benches for resting and enjoying nature, and many sacred places graced by inspiring statuary.

St. Francis Woods is home to a vibrant Volunteer Program at our Motherhouse as well as the administrative office for our Sister-Associate relationship, which involves more than 90 Associates---men and women from all over the United States and from all walks of life---who commit to live their mission statement: "With joy and compassion, we live the Gospel in the spirit of Francis and Clare through prayer and works of neighborly love."
