The Chicago Red Stars are a women's professional soccer team that play in the 9 team National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). With virtually the entire US Women's National Team playing in the league, Red Stars soccer truly is world class soccer played right here in the western suburbs at Benedictine University in Lisle.

The Chicago Red Stars roster includes local stand out Vanessa DiBernardo (Waubonnsie High School graduate), complimenting 4 US national team players (Christen Press, Julie Johnston, Lori Chalupny, and Shannon Boxx), 4 Canadian national team members (Karina LeBlanc, Adriana Leon, and Melissa Tancredi), and Abby Erceg of the New Zealand national team.
