Waverly started her Kids' News Blog, www.kidsnewsnyc.com, at 7 years old after taking a walk around her neighborhood with her mom. She took some notes about all the spooky houses she saw, wrote an article, and soon found out that there was nowhere for young writers to post the news that mattered to them. After realizing that all the kids' news was always written by the moms and dads, she decided to take matters into her own hands and create a place where kids could be the reporters on all the events and places that are all around the city for the kids themselves to enjoy.
