A spokesman for Layton police told Gizmodo a 17-year-old teen driver pulled her beanie over her eyes to try out the challenge. The car drifted into the opposite lane and hit a car and spun into a sound wall and light post, Gizmodo reported.

Soon after the movie was release on Netflix, the entertainment company pleaded with people not to hurt themselves while doing the challenge.
