"This traditional Hindu celebration from India celebrates the onset of spring, good harvests, love, and unity. Wear white clothes and get ready to throw colorful powders at your friends and family!" So states the event details from the library's public event page.

The celebration will take place in the outdoor plaza to the North and East of the Marmalade Branch. And yes, there will be flying colors. Again, the event page states "Colorful throwing powders will be provided. Please be sure to wear white or other light colored clothing that you don't mind getting stained. We will only be throwing dry powders, which can usually be dusted off before washing and result in minimal staining, but better safe than sorry!"

Don't miss these free events for the whole family! Get out and enjoy the diversity, activism, and cultural celebrations in Utah's capital city this month. Enjoy the adventure!
