Bernie Sanders To Hold Salt Lake Event At Utah State Fairpark
Ahead of Tuesday's primary, the Democratic frontrunner will make an appeal to Utah voters

Looking for a repeat victory after easily winning Utah's democratic primary against Hillary Clinton in 2016, Senator Bernie Sanders will return to Utah to host an event that will appeal to the beehive state's democrats just one day before "Super Tuesday" when 20 states across the country will hold their primary election.
Utah hasn't always enjoyed such a high profile in national elections, being reliably conservative for much of its recent history. But when it comes to the state's growing democratic voting bloc and changing demographics, it seems the beehive state's democrats have become a worthy pursuit for candidates to court. As a result, many national candidates have now made an appearance in Utah, either for fundraising or to rally for support.
“The road to the White House heads through the West.” The Vermont senator has notably said before. It would seem, by Sander's campaign stopping in Utah right before such a big primary day, it's a philosophy he still holds.

Other candidates that have visited the state during the current election cycle include Tulsi Gabbard, Pete Buttigieg, Michael Bloomberg, and Elizabeth Warren. Warren made the first-of-the-bunch appearance in Utah for the 2020 election back in April of last year, showing how significant her campaign considers support from Salt Lake to be.
For Bernie, who drew more than 14,000 at his Utah rally in 2016, will return to the west, as he looks to cement his dominance among registered democrats once more.
