Wahlin said Rowland's body was found inside the church. Police didn't provide circumstances of Rowland's death.

McCluskey had apparently dated Rowland for about a month, her mother, Jill McCluskey, said in a statement to local news station KSL. According to the statement, Rowland lied to her about his age, name and criminal history. The statement says McCluskey ended the relationship after learning of his criminal history. We have university counselors and psychologists on standby to support Lauren’s teammates, coaches and friends. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and all of those dear to her."
