Utah Connections Academy Celebrates the Class of 2021

Salt Lake City, Utah – Utah Connections Academy’s Class of 2021 celebrated graduation with friends and family from the comfort and safety of their own homes this year. On Thursday, May 27 at 4 p.m. Utah Connections Academy live-streamed the event which included pictures and remarks from each graduate. This virtual graduation ceremony replicated many components of a traditional in-person graduation ceremony. Utah Connections Academy is a full-time, tuition-free, statewide online public school that takes great pride in giving students what they need to find success in the classroom and beyond.

Utah Connections Academy is in its 10th year providing students a welcoming and distraction-free learning environment, and serves more than 1,200 students in grades K-12 across the state. “I enjoy the independence and structure Utah Connections Academy has given me over the years. All of my teachers have been amazing. They always make sure to call, talk over things, and make sure you stay on track and are progressing how you should,” said Hope Frank, Class of 2021 graduate. Hope Frank received the social studies scholar award from the school and she is an ambassador for Robbie’s Hope Foundation, raising awareness and fighting teen suicide.

Virtual school is a great fit for a variety of students and each student is unique. Utah Connections Academy students are diverse and come from all different backgrounds and educational histories.
