Vermont Head-On Crash Leaves 4 Dead
All four occupants of a Volkswagen Beetle were killed in the head-on crash early Monday afternoon.

BRIDPORT, VT — Four people were killed in a head-on crash on Route 22 A in Vermont Monday, state police said.
Troopers responded to the two-car crash involving a Volkswagen Beetle and a Ford Truck at around 12:45 p.m. Monday. When troopers arrived on scene they found that all four occupants of the Beetle were deceased.
According to police, the Beetle was going northbound on Route 22 A when it crossed over the center line and struck the Ford, which was in the southbound lane, head on. Police said that none of the occupants of the Beetle were wearing seat belts.

The victims were identified as Steven Holmes, 20, of Chatsworth, Georgia, who was driving the car, Justin Hendrix, 38, of Bryceville, Florida and Amber Brewer, 19, of Dalton, Georgia. The fourth victim is a female but has not been identified.
Both the driver of the truck and the passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
