Green Wind Farm Kicks Off New Ownership with Cattle Transition
New owners – John and Cassie Tiffany – will be taking over management at Green Wind Farm and began by transitioning their animals to the org
Original owner, Julie Wolcott, welcomes new owners, John and Cassie Tiffany, to the grass-based organic hillside farm in Fairfield, VT. Green Wind Farm has been certified organic since 2016, when Julie and her husband collaborated with Stonyfield Organic to convert the land. Green Wind Farm is a direct supplier for Stonyfield Organic.
Cassie and John bring their milking animals to Green Wind Farm to kick off the transition. They will continue the work with Stonyfield Organic over the coming years to maintain organic practices and nurture relationships with the community. With interest in agriculture declining among today’s youth, John and Cassie will bring fresh thinking as part of the next generation of farmers.
