Helicopter Crashes Into Townhome Near William & Mary; 1 Dead
The crash reportedly happened on the 1100 block of Settlement Drive.

WILLIAMSBURG, VA — A helicopter crashed into a townhome in a residential neighborhood near the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg and state police say one person was killed. The university sent out a tweet Sunday afternoon warning of an "aviation" incident in a residential area near Dillard Complex and asked people to avoid the area.
Campus police will follow up if the college is affected.
WAVY-TV reported it happened on the 1100 block of Settlement Drive.

Photos and video taken at the scene appear to show firefighters spraying water onto heavy flames and thick smoke that were billowing out of a building.
