VIRGINIA — The adage "not all heroes wear capes" is one that's true now more than ever as we continue to deal with the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. We want to hear about the "heroes" who are helping your community in northern Virginia and DC get through these changing times.

Patch has partnered with Ring to shine a spotlight on the neighborhood heroes who are making a difference in their communities, whether it's the clerk at your local grocery store who went above and beyond to help you, the nurse who tended a sick family member or the stranger who showed you a moment of kindness.

We've already told the stories of a restaurant owner who started delivering meals to first responders and health care workers, then created a food pantry at his diner; a tireless volunteer who helps distribute food to those in need through her church; and the owner of a cleaning service who has kept her 22 employees paid and off unemployment.
