Frost Advisory Issued for Northern Virginia: National Weather Service
The area will soon be under a Frost Advisory. How's the weather looking for Northern Virginia the rest of the weekend?

The Washington DC metro area, including Northern Virginia, is under a Frost Advisory starting Saturday at 1 a.m. and continuing through Saturday at 9 a.m., the National Weather Service announced Friday.

The weather service also advised that the area will be under a Freeze Watch beginning late Saturday into Sunday morning.
Expect temperatures to drop into the low to mid-30s Friday night, then fall into the upper 20s to the lower 30s Saturday night, the weather service said. Temperatures will be warmer in DC.

Some frost-sensitive plants or crops could see damage or be killed Friday and Saturday night, the weather service warned. The weather service advises covering or bringing plants in.

- Friday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 60s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
- Friday night: Partly cloudy in the evening...then becoming mostly clear. Lows in the upper 30s. North winds 10 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 30 mph in the evening.
- Saturday: Sunny. Highs around 50. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
- Saturday night: Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 30s. West winds around 5 mph.
- Sunday: Sunny. Highs in the upper 50s. West winds around 5 mph.
- Sunday night: Mostly clear. Lows around 40.
