George Mason Book Sale starts September 28
Thousands of books, CDs, DVDs, sheet music, collectibles, games and more!
The George Mason Friends Fall Book Sale, known for its wide variety of high quality books, CDs, DVDs, and games, starts September 28 and runs through October 1. Proceeds from the sale benefit George Mason Regional Library and the entire Fairfax County Public Library System.
The sale will be held at George Mason Regional Library, 7001 Little River Turnpike, Annandale. Hours are:
- Thursday, Sept 28, 3 pm – 9 pm
- Friday, Sept 29, 10 am – 6 pm
- Saturday, Sept 30, 10 am – 5 pm
- Sunday, Oct 1, 12 – 5 pm (everything half price)
Among the highlights for this fall's sale is a large -- more than 500 -- selection of beautiful Korean children's books. All are picture books in very good to nearly new condition, and are priced at just $2 each.

Also of note, the cookbooks category features many titles that haven't been available in earlier sales, as well as particularly nice editions of cookbook classics! Some examples not seen in recent sales:
- Four Korean cookbooks, which are rarely donated for our book sales
- For people who want to know about the recipes Jose Andres uses in his Jaleo tapas restaurants, we offer or the first time his 2 first cookbooks - Made in Spain and Tapas: A Taste of Spain in America
- More books by Food Network Stars than we've ever had in one sale, including Alton Brown, Bobby Flay, Giada de Laurentiis, Ina Garten, and a whopping eleven different titles by Rachel Ray!

- For young readers, the George Mason Friends' sale features books an entire room dedicated to children's titles, sorted by subject and reading level. It includes a great assortment of board books, picture books, easy readers, children’s fiction, non-fiction, young adult fiction, and books in other languages.
- The book sale is also a great resource for older students looking for classics on their school reading list, reference works, language study materials, math, science, art, and sheet music.
- Many customers shop the Fall Book Sale to find affordable gifts for upcoming holidays. We offer beautiful books in great condition on cooking, travel, sports, health, fitness, art, and more.
- And last but certainly not least, customers come for the entertainment galore: movies, TV shows, music, e-games, popular and classic fiction, humor, comic books, and graphic novels.
