1 Person Freed After Being Trapped By Tree In Arlington Home
Arlington County Fire & EMS personnel extricated a person who was trapped by a fallen tree in their home in the Waverly Hills neighborhood.
ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Fire & EMS extracted a person Thursday evening who was trapped after a tree had fallen on their house in the Waverly Hills neighborhood, according to a post on the department's official Twitter account.
Units responded around 9:13 p.m., for the report of an adult trapped by a tree inside a home in the 4300 block of 16th St. N.
Fire personnel extricated the adult from the home and transported them to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to a 9:47 p.m. post on Twitter.

Earlier in the day, severe thunderstorms moved through the region, knocking down trees and power lines.
As of 10:20 p.m, Dominion Energy reported 22,213 customers were without power in Northern Virginia and a total of 26,609 customers were without power across the entire state.
