2018 Farmers Market Schedule Announced For Arlington

Arlington County boasts open-air markets five days a week, where residents and visitors can purchase a variety of foods and goods.

ARLINGTON, VA — Residents flocked to the Arlington Mill farmers market in Columbia Pike Saturday, shopping farm-to-table vendors, listening to the music of the Army Latin Jazz Combo, and exploring Bipedal Soundscapes on the Arlington Art Truck.

The event marked the opening of the County’s 10th farmers market and the second for Columbia Pike. Arlington Mill joins the 25-year-old Columbia Pike market, which is at the corner of South Walter Reed Drive and Columbia Pike. Each of the County’s markets is operated independently.

With the opening of Arlington Mill and the start of May, farmers market season in Arlington is in full swing. The county boasts open-air markets five days a week where residents and visitors can purchase a variety of foods and goods, from locally grown fruits and vegetables and grass-fed meats to salsas, jellies, and olive oils. There are also myriad fresh baked pastries and sweets available — both for shoppers and their four-legged friends.
